Snug harbor camping and cypress island

Hello, I have two questions I'd love to get some input on:
1. Is the Snug Harbor Resort campground pretty quiet? How does it compare with Lakedale's campground?
2. How easy or difficult is it to get a camping spot on Pelican beach in Cypress island on a Friday in August? We are thinking of taking a private water taxi out there for an overnight camping trip so we can hike on Cypress island and be someplace more remote. Anyone have any advice on this? It seems that the island is popular among kayakers, but we would not have a backup plan if we got there and found all the campsites full, so I am a little worried about whether it is worth risking it.
Thank you!
