Troop 570 from Kirkland Wa are planning their first 5 day bicycle camping trip next year. This is a request for any Scouters on the San Juan Islands who can help us with information on suitable routes, places to camp, and places to visit, etc.

Thanks
Simon Macpherson

There are some great bike routes on Orcas Island and up to Mt. Constitution.  Great lake out in that area and great camp ground as well.  Go to the Washington State Parks web site and search for campgrounds on Orcas...or any of the other islands.  Good Luck! and enjoy your trip.

Troop 90 is located in Friday Harbor and as a former Boy Scout I know that we have a large camp on San Juan Island.  Or at least we used to.  After a little investigation I think I have someone for you to contact... he is one of the local scoutmasters.  Dave Waldron 360-378-3070

Please try to get a hold of him and please report back with your findings.

Thanks for posting on a message board.

More info about camping in the San Juan Islands .
