dancing on Orcas Island?
«

I'm staying/working at Doe Bay this summer and want to keep up my newly, but clumsily developed dancing abilities, where in the islands can I go?
Thanks

That's a great question Lance... may I ask what type of dancing your interested in?
Note; there is no "Dirty Dancing" in the islands..

I'm taking beginning ballroom and swing classes. Foxtrot, waltz, tango and so far the swing class is focussed on the "rock" step, don't know what else it's called, saw a lot of variations of it while watching Happy Days.
No dirty dancing? How about dancing in the dirt?

Okay, I have completed a little homework for you however I don't have any solid answers yet. I have contacted the
chamber music Festival
as well as the
Orcas center
and asked them to post a response here. Hopefully we will hear from them soon. I also did a search of the blog sphere but came up empty handed. I guess this messageboard thread will have to become the authority on dancing on Orcas Island.

Anyone know anything about A Place to Dance in Eastsound? Do they offer adult instruction?
