Hi all

I have a couple of questions I was hoping to get some advice on.

Firstly, I wanted to check how easy is it to park around the Harbour?  At the moment we are playing on bringing a car but will probably stay in accomodation a little further afield.  If we drive to town will it be easy to park?  Are their charges?

Second, linked in part to the first question, does anyone have a view on whether it is better to stay around the Harbour or venture further afield?  I quite like the idea of staying somewhere a bit more remote, but am not sure if it's safe and if we'll miss out on stuff at the Harbour?

Thanks!
Heather

Plenty of two hour parking within Friday Harbor  and longer 8 or 12 hour parking up next to the courthouse. No charges for parking... only tickets if you exceed the time limit.

As far as accommodations go you will be happy either way.... lots of secluded bed and breakfasts are available as well as vacation rentals . You're never further than 15 or 20 minutes from town mo matter where you are staying on San Juan Island .
