My wife and myself are considering a visit to the islands for chistmas.  What will we find to do and what should we expect for weather.  Ed

I went back into our web cam archives to see what was happening weatherwise last December 2008.  As you can see we had several nice sunsets, some dark and dreary days, but mostly days that were partly cloudy or clear. Most accommodations in the San Juan Islands as well as restaurants in the San Juan Islands run quiet season specials from October until March.  As you can see from last year's photos there was a couple centimeters of snow on the ground last Christmas.  The ferry lines will also be less crowded this time of year however it is still a good idea to show up an hour ahead of the departure time to get into line.
