I see that Lopez Island is popular for bike riding.  We would like to ride bikes there but I'm uncomfortable sharing the road with cars when we'll have kids/children/toddlers with us.  Are there any dedicated bike paths on Lopez Island?

If you've been there before, what would you advise on this issue?

Unfortunately there are no dedicated bicycle paths on Lopez Island... some of the roads are quite narrow as well.  However most islanders drive about 35 mph.

Lopez Island has over 33 miles of "bicycle routes" however all of these are located on county roads.
