We will be chartering a boat out of Bellingham in March for a week and looking for some activities to keep kids entertained ages are 6, 9, 11.  We may try to push out to Victoria but not certain yet.  Also interested in what kind of weather we could expect March 25-31.  We were planning of getting slips for a number of the nights if not all and these would likely be in different ports.  Thanks so much for any suggestions or inputs you may have.

Thanks for posting to the message board... it sounds like a fantastic family trip you're planning to the islands...

Here is a previous post about activities for kids in the San Juan Islands

Here are a couple more resources about things for kids to do on orcas Island , and things for kids to do on San Juan Island. Also don't forget about children's activities on Lopez Island.

As you can see from the below screenshot the temperatures in March are not exactly tropical yet...However the rainfall is significantly lower than the peak months of November December and January.

thanks again for posting on the message board... please let him know if you have any more questions.

Well "best" would be an opinion and subjective to the individual...  however the status quo for "best" is generally considered from April through October.... this time of year you get the most sunshine per day and very little rainfall if any.
