Gordy Peterson has decided to run for the County Council position currently held by Kevin Ranker.

Peterson states “As an islander and a taxpayer, I have been disappointed in the performance of the current County Council. Many islanders seem to share this feeling. I think we can do better. Rather than just complaining, I am announcing my candidacy for the County Council from District 1.
